Chairman
Nick Maughan CBE
Nick is a career investor with a long track record of innovation and leadership across finance and technology. He holds a bachelor's degree in Religion and Theology from the University of Manchester and a master's degree in Investment Management from Bayes Business School at City University in London.
Nick began his career as a quantitative analyst and then as Director of Research at the quant trading firm Tamiso & Co in New York City. He has since funded numerous technology companies across a range of sectors with a bias towards fintech and high volume transactional platform applications.
Today he chairs the family office Little Whale Capital and venture capital investor Maughan Capital. In addition to his commercial interests Nick runs his family's charitable foundation, NMF.org. He is on the board of The Centre For Social Justice Foundation, the leading African wildlife conservation charity Tusk and is the founder and a director of the youth sport charity, BoxWise.
Nick is passionate about restoring coral reefs to protect the world's oceans.
Managing Partner
Charles Abou Eid
Charles is a Swiss-based investor with a strong track record in private wealth management. Charles began his career at BNP Paribas working in the Chief Investment Office, contributing to macroeconomic positioning and asset allocation for the bank's global Wealth Management unit.
He later joined Deutsche Bank in Geneva, where he advised international families on portfolio construction. He holds degrees in Business and International Relations from IE Business School and the IE School of Politics, Economics & Global Affairs in Spain.
His experience bridges institutional finance and entrepreneurial advisory, with a focus on delivering bespoke investment solutions to UHNW families. Beyond his professional pursuits, Charles is committed to philanthropic initiatives aimed at expanding access to education and promoting economic opportunity in developing countries. He is an advisor to NMF.org.
Head of Operations
Lydia Gevin
Lydia leads operations at LWC, serving as the primary operational point of contact for stakeholders. She oversees the full client account lifecycle and brings over a decade of private-banking operations experience across leading institutions.
She spent eleven years at Deutsche Bank Switzerland, most recently supporting senior investment managers across the Middle East and Africa, where she was responsible for regulatory monitoring and reporting. Earlier, as Account Manager for Asia Pacific, she supported offshore private bankers in Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. She began her career at Coutts & Co (RBS Group) in Geneva, supporting private bankers across a UK resident and non-domiciled client book.
Lydia holds a Master of Science in Private Banking from the IAE Gustave Eiffel (University of Paris XII) and a Master of Arts in Private Banking from INSEEC, and studied financial economics at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a Certified Wealth Management Advisor (CWMA).
