The Nick Maughan Family Foundation (NMF) was established in 2020 to advance philanthropic initiatives across three core pillars: education, the environment and community support. Founded by the Bahamian investor and philanthropist Nick Maughan CBE, the Foundation channels resources where they are needed most, with a discipline and transparency that reflects the values we share at Little Whale Capital.
Education. NMF works to narrow the educational attainment gap by awarding grants and scholarships to high-achieving children from families below the median-income level, and by funding under-resourced schools. Its efforts extend internationally, including the construction and support of schools in Uganda.
Environment. The Foundation supports wildlife conservation and climate action through targeted donations to organisations engaged in carbon reduction, sequestration and biodiversity preservation, working to build a safer planet for future generations.
Community. Through its flagship initiative BoxWise and other programmes, NMF provides safe havens and opportunities for vulnerable young people, using sport and mentorship to build confidence, improve wellbeing and create pathways to a better future.
